In this master thesis work, OTFS modulation is studied in the perspective of ISAC. Chapter 2 provides an overview of OTFS modulation-demodulation scheme. Chapter 3 analyzes the ambiguity function of the OTFS communication waveform with random QPSK symbols. In Chapter 4, the use of the deterministic waveform produced by pilot symbols is proposed, which exhibits good maneuverability in terms of range-Doppler sidelobes and resolution. In Chapter 5, the reader can find a summary and review of the main articles regarding the use of OTFS for DFRC up to the date of early 2024. Finally, in Chapter 6 we discuss a possible implementation of a radar receiver based on the transmitted waveform illustrated in Chapter 4. Finally, in Chapter 7 the final considerations and conclusions are carried out.
