The topic of thesis is the reconstruction of waves, like the ocean ones, in the open channel to make the surf. Our project is an elaboration of a work developed at University of Munich. In this Original project, elaborated with a mathematic and physical model, the particular conformation of ramp and wave structure make a “perfect wave”. This wave is generated thanks to hydraulic jump The particular conformation of the wave structure is difficult to built in a full-scale. In Our project we are looking for a wave structure more economy and simpler than the original, composed by series of metallic gabion. In the first part of the thesis is described the phenomenon of hydraulic jump and it is studied the physic behaviour of the Original and Our project with a one-dimensional model. In the second part it is illustrated the characteristic of FLOW 3D software program, important to recreate a three-dimensional mathematical model of the problem, and the modelling with this program of the Original model. In the third part it is described the stage of labour to find a New wave structure and the elaboration of the final structure with a complex mathematic model.
