Riassunto
Additive manufacturing is enabling the making of lattice based components. After an evaluation of various lattices class, Schwarz Diamond thin wall structure TPMS lattice was chosen as the lattice on which to focus the study. A homogenization technique based on single cell simulation was developed, in order to streamline design process of lattice based components. Mechanical testing were performed to verify mechanical properties of the material used to manufacture this lattice and to verify the correlation between simulation results and real world compression tests of Schwarz diamond thin wall structure TPMS lattice specimens.
