Riassunto
An AED is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses Sudden Cardiac Arrest in a patient, and is able to treat him/her through defibrillation when needed.
The goal of this thesis is to design an open source AED (OAED) in the framework of Ubora project. In the first chapter there is an introduction on the Ubora project and AEDs. In the second one there is the regulatory analysis and a conceptual design for OAED. The third and fourth chapter deal the elctronic boards of OAED. In the fifth there is an overview on the firmware, and finally in the sixth chapter there are the ECG pattern recognition algorithms.
