Riassunto
The main goal of this thesis was to analyze what happened in Germany after the introduction of the minimum wage policy in January 2015 on the fields of employment, by looking at the possibility of finding a job and at the possibility of losing a job, and poverty, by looking at the possibility of becoming poor and at the poverty gap evolution. As control countries, we used Austria and the Netherlands, due to their similarity with Germany. We finally tried to approach the problem of whether such policy would be implementable in Italy, what would be the issues with this, and what other options we had.
