It empowers the companies with data allowing them to make better decisions but also to monitor, control, and automate processes saving time, resources, and money. Nevertheless, not all companies can leverage such technologies and experts may be required to set up a working solution.
New Generation Sensors is an IoT company that provides custom solutions for these kinds of companies. This thesis discusses the design, prototyping, and assessment of the company's IIoT distributed Platform, a set of services composing an abstraction layer between physical devices and IoT Applications that hides the complexity of managing a heterogeneous fleet of devices and feeds the applications with the right data.
