Il progetto di tesi è stato svolto durante un tirocinio in Iconsulting, un'azienda di consulenza focalizzata nell'ambito dei dati. Il lavoro ha previsto la progettazione e la realizzazione di un processo di Business Intelligence, svolto su commessa di un'azienda cliente. Per lo sviluppo è stata utilizzata la suite di SAP, in particolare per l'ETL SAP Data Services e per la reportistica SAP Business Objects. L'obiettivo del progetto, oltre alla consegna della reportistica richiesta dai clienti è stato l'ottimizzazione delle tempistiche utilizzando metodi all'avanguardia come Push Down e Smart Data Access.
This thesis project was carried out during an internship at Iconsulting, a consulting firm focused on data. The work involved the design and implementation of a Business Intelligence process, carried out on order of a client company. The SAP suite was used for the development, in particular SAP Data Services for ETL and SAP Business Objects for reporting. The aim of the project, in addition to the delivery of the reports required by the customer, was the performance optimization using advanced methods such as Push Down and Smart Data Access.
