Riassunto
Recent hand exoskeleton literature has seen a lot of progress, however, not much research has gone into analyzing benefits of abduction-adduction capabilities of said devices. This thesis tries to investigate potential benefits of abduction-adduction capabilities. It does so by showing different abduction-adduction mechanism concepts, building a prototype and performing experiments with it to validate impacts of abduction-adduction capabilities on range of motion, comfortability and usability of hand exoskeleton devices.
