In this thesis, an implementation of security features of RPL routing protocol as described in RFC6550 in ContikOS is described.
A series of possible internal/external attacks to the routing infrastructure is presented.
Since the standard doesn't provide mechanisms to attacks like Replay attacks, the implementation goes beyond the standard mandatory requirements. All the mechanisms and data structure are described and presented.
The last part of the thesis focuses on performance evaluation on energy constraint nodes and the impact of this implementation with respect to well-known metrics.
