Riassunto
A VHM (Vernier Hybrid Machine) is designed and analyzed in this work.
The main features of a VHM are described and different approaches are considered for the analysis: analytical, analytical with the Fourier approximation and FEA.
A generic analytical model for lung drum device is considered. In MatLab environment the analytical model for the VHM is implemented
with the aim to evaluate the main feature of the machine and to get an approximate Coenergy map. Starting from the analytical model, a Fourier approximate model is developed
and the Coenergy map is calculated. A different kind of analysis is developed with a FEA software. A model of the machine is designed and the Coenergy map is calculated with a set of simulation.
Thanks to the software for the FEA, also the analysis of the machine with non-linear material can be made. From the simulation's results the main feature of the machine can be evaluated
according with the analytical model approach. The last stage consist in a comparison of the results with the aim to justify the differences of results calculated with the above different approach.
