Riassunto
This thesis presents a numerical and experimental investigation of heat transfer with supercritical carbon dioxide (sCO2) used as a coolant for some literature geometries. The study combines experimental measurements with computational simulations to analyze heat transfer coefficient, flow behavior, and thermal performance under various operating conditions. The experimental setup includes a test section designed to evaluate heat transfer in sCO2 at different pressures and temperatures, while numerical models are developed using CFD simulations to predict flow and thermal fields. Findings provide valuable insights for optimizing heat exchanger designs in supercritical power cycles, refrigeration systems, and advanced thermal applications, contributing to improved efficiency and performance.
