Terrorism in Latin America is a very diffuse problem in the region, and Peru is not exempt from this, a country that saw the birth of this problem initially as a political division but that later the radicals took as an excuse to start a brutal internal war. Currently, apparently diminished and hidden in the Peruvian jungle, terrorism has found a very important ally, drug trafficking, with which it works hand in hand, which is why it continues to generate impact on Peruvian society, both from a security and social point of view. That is why Peru must seek new effective strategies to counter this new hybrid threat that still wreaks havoc on the national and international community.
