Questa tesi analizza la rappresentazione del profeta Maometto e la nascita dell'Impero Ottomano nel Seder Eliyahu Zuta di Elia Capsali, condestabulo, rabbino e storiografo di Creta vissuto durante il dominio veneto. Capsali scrisse la sua opera Seder Eliyahu Zuta nel 1523; la Cronaca narra la storia dell'Impero Ottomano dalla creazione del mondo alle conquiste di Süleyman (1534).
This thesis analyse the representation of the prophet Mohammed and the Birth of the Ottoman Empire in Elia Capsali's Seder Eliyahu Zuta, condestabulo, rabbi and historian who lived in Crete under the Venetian rule. In 1523 Capsali wrote his main work Seder Eliyahu Zuta, a chronicle that relates the history of the Ottomine Empire from the creation of the world to Süleyman's conquests (1534).
