Nella mia tesi di laurea magistrale ho analizzato le figure femminili presenti nella sezione etnografica delle Storie di Erodoto, applicando gli strumenti ermeneutici propri dell'Antropologia del Mondo Antico.
Nel primo capitolo mi sono soffermata sulla reciprocità relazionale tra le donne e la famiglia, indagando i rapporti che esse intrattengono con il nucleo da cui provengono e con l’οἶκος costituito insieme al marito.
Nella secondo capitolo della mia tesi ho approfondito il rapporto tra le donne e la vendetta: nella prima parte ho posto l'accento sul riconoscimento di un legame tra le figure femminili e l'inganno, mentre nella sezione conclusiva mi sono soffermata sul caso di Feretime, la quale supera il limite imposto dagli dei abbandonandosi ad una spietata furia omicida.
Infine, nel terzo capitolo ho approfondito il rapporto tra le donne e il potere, nelle varie forme in cui esso si manifesta nei primi quattro libri dell'opera erodotea. In particolare, ho indagato l'influenza che le donne esercitano attraverso il loro corpo e i casi in cui esse assumono un ruolo fondamentale in rapporto alla nozione di regalità, legittimando o delegittimando il potere maschile.

In my master's thesis, I analysed the female figures in the ethnographic section of Herodotus' Histories, applying the hermeneutic tools of the Anthropology of the Ancient World.
In the first chapter, I focused on the relational reciprocity between women and the family, investigating the relationships they entertain with the nucleus from which they come and with the οἶκος established with their husbands.
In the second chapter of my thesis, I explored the relationship between women and vengeance: in the first part, I emphasised the recognition of a link between female figures and deception, while in the concluding section I focused on the case of Pheretime, who overcomes the limit imposed by the gods by indulging in a ruthless murderous rampage.
Finally, in the third chapter, I explored the relationship between women and power, in the various forms in which it manifests itself in the first four books of Herodotus' work. In particular, I investigated the influence women exert through their bodies and the cases in which they assume a fundamental role in relation to the notion of kingship, legitimising or delegitimising male power.
