Riassunto
The research concerned the study of a new formulation of nanocomposite silicone matrix films, able to guarantee an effective protection for people with hypersensitivity to UV radiation. The properties of films, such as total opacity to UV radiation, adequate visible transparency, water vapour permeability, surface characteristics (easily reversible adhesion to the skin, negligible stickiness to the non-adhesive interface) and massive (elasticity, mechanical strength, resistance to water) were studied. The effectiveness of the films produced was also been evaluated, in collaboration with the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the CNR of Pavia, through in vitro tests on human cell lines characterized by a genetic defect concerning the systems of repair of damage to photoinduced DNA
