Riassunto
The present work is a study of the structural and electronic properties of Sn(IV) doped In(III) oxide
nanoparticles. Thanks to a continuous growth synthesis the dopant was placed at various radial positions
within the nanocrystal and core@shell nanostructures were made up. Moreover, the analysis of optical
extinction of NIR spectra and solid state NMR characterisation, allowed us to rationalise the impact of
different dopant distribution on the free electric charge densities of the NPs. Finally, we demonstrated that
photodoping with UV light enables the modulation of the LSPR absorption making these systems suitable
for tunable optoelectronics and sensors.
