Riassunto
Our research focuses on extensions of the SM that, with the addition of the right-handed neutrino, leaving unchanged the gauged symmetry group of the Standard Model, exhibits an approximate Pati-Salam global symmetry, assigning a single fourth color to every leptonic family. Our request is that it must break spontaneously, directly or in two steps, into the SM’s global broken group, with the
Custodial Symmetry already broken in its vectorial subgroup. This symmetry breaking generates scalar Leptoquarks as Goldstone bosons, instead of gauge vectors as in the local version proposed by J. C. Pati and A. Salam in the 1970s. Taking our BSM theory, we calculate the one-loop corrections to the Peskin-Takeuchi parameter T, in order to compute the Custodial Symmetry breaking. Then, we will explore the use of Standard Model Effective Field Theories, in order to create projections for leptoquarks masses from the estimation of some Wilson coefficient coming from the Yukawa sector.
