Riassunto
Our work is divided in two main projects: a review on primates relocation and a specific analysis on translocated Eulemur collaris.
In our review we collected accademic studies through Google scholar, the Web of science and the on-line database of the Bodleian library; then we checked all the studies searching for specific information that are defined as key-points by the IUCN guidelines for primates relocation. After that, we used the chi-square analysis to compare each key point suggested by the IUCN with the relocation result according to the author and the effective population dynamic. We did that in order to evaluate which are the most important key-point in primates relocation.
We also evaluate the degree of adapttion of translocated Eulemur collaris analysing their diet and the number of three species used. In order to do that we analysed data from 2007,2008,2009 and 2013 taken from malagasy workers in Mandena forest (Madagascar)and through a mixed model analysis we evaluate if there is any correlation among different years and different months that can indicate an increased adaptation to the translocation site. Moreover we checked the amount of three species used in order to evaluate Eulemur collaris to the new habitat.
