Riassunto
The main target of this study is to investigate the influence of the grinding and dressing parameters on the continuous generating grinding of gears process by means of cylindrical grinding worms. In the context of the present thesis different possibilities of increasing the process performance have been investigated. First an investigation on the process by means of form rollers on a corundum grinding worm have been carried out. Thereby the most significant dressing parameters – like for instance dressing speed ratio and radial infeed – have been varied. Furthermore the influence of a grinding speed variation respectively with costant feed and costant feed speed has been determinated. The same procedure has been repeated by using a vitreous bonded CBN grinding worm. In conclusion the performances of two grinding worms having respectively 1 and 5 threats have been compared at a parity of time of the process. In every investigation the influnce of each parameter on the roughness, quality of the profile’s gear, residual stress generated on the surface of the teeth, grinding forces and acoustic emission during the dressing and grinding process has been obtained.
