Riassunto
The thesis deals with the development of the conceptual design of an innovative passive Reactor Cavity Concrete Cooling system (RCCS) for Generation IV Lead Fast Reactors (LFR). Starting from the configuration which is now considered for the lead-cooled fast reactor ALFRED (Advanced Lead Fast Reactor European Demonstrator), a new RCCS system has been proposed together with a new configuration of the Reactor Cavity (RC). The main goal was to develop a new design for a system capable to operate in natural circulation in each condition of the reactor.
