Organizations operating in todays' market are facing a rapid growth in the volume and variety of data they produce and ingest.
This scenario leads to new challenges in storaging, processing and analysing data.
To face these challenges, organizations increasingly rely on modern data platforms which are designed to efficiently manage large amounts of data.
This thesis analyses the implementation of a modern data platform for the Management Control System division of a multi-utility company operating in the energy and waste sector.
The thesis focuses on the transition from a tradition on-premises architecture to a cloud-based solution.
The project was developed through two main work streams, consisting in the design, the creation and the construction of the data platform and subsequently on the implementation of various DDPs and CDPs.
In particular, the study provides an in-depth analysis of two specific Customer Data Products.
