The study provides a both descriptive and inferential analysis of the role played by three key istitutions - welfare state, labour market and households - in ensuring the social reproduction of individuals in Italy in the last twenty-five years. Particularly, the focus is about the means by which social spending, labour flexibilization and servitization affected the gendered division of paid and unpaid work within the household and viceversa.
