Riassunto
Through a case study, this thesis shows that Lean philosophy is interesting and fitting also for a Logistic Service Provider. The main subjects are the development of a "Site Classification Program" and the implementation of the relative assessment tool.
The work is especially focused on the operational aspects and corresponding practices of Lean Warehousing. Therefore, the focus of this thesis is to take a comprehensive approach to understanding and implementing tools and techniques such as Material and Information Flow Analysis, 5S, Visual Management, Layout Analysis, Scheduling tool, Pull, Kanban, One-piece flow, Point of Use Storage.
The work is especially focused on the operational aspects and corresponding practices of Lean Warehousing.
