La tesi analizza il tipo di comunicazione cartacea e digitale utilizzata in occasione delle mostre dedicate a Matteo Civitali e Pompeo Batoni a Lucca nel 2004 e 2008/2009. In aggiunta alla biografia degli artisti esposti sono stati ricercati i flussi turistici di quegli anni per comprendere al meglio la situazione di partenza e le motivazioni di alcune scelte promozionali e comunicative. Il lavoro vuole rendere nota la politica culturale che è stata portata avanti in città.

This thesis analyses the type of paper and digital communication used on the occasion of the exhibitions dedicated to Matteo Civitali and Pompeo Batoni in Lucca in 2004 and 2008/09. In addition to the biography of the artist on display, the tourist flows of those years have been researched in order to better understand the starting situation and the motivation of some promotional and communicative choices. This work wants to make known the cultural policy that has been carried out in the city.
