Riassunto
This paper analyzes the determinants of re-employment probability and maintaining employment status probability over time among Italian workers. The data is based on Bank of Italy Survey on Household Income and Wealth (SHIW) year 2014-2016 and 2004-2006 to estimate individual attributes effect the probability to get and/or keep the employment status. Generalized Linear Model with Binomial Logit and Probit model had been employed to estimate the determinants among individual socio-demographic characteristics such as age, marital status, education, gender, and geographical area. The findings show determinants to estimate re-employment probability are age, gender, education level, and geographical area. Additionally, “year” effect is not significant, whereas it effects relevantly only on South and Islands part of Italy. The determinants to estimate maintaining employment probability are age, marital status, education level, and geographical area. Related to this point, “year” effect is relevant and significant, it effects on education level is pronounced for secondary education attainment, it effects gender partly, and it effects geographical area where individual reside in the Center is more likely to maintain their job.
