Riassunto (Inglese)
Riassunto (Italiano)
This thesis presents yRCAE, an extension of the yRCA framework for root cause analysis in microservice-based systems that explicitly addresses incomplete and missing logs. yRCAE augments interaction reconstruction rules to infer absent events such as sends, receives, errors, timeouts, and internal failures while preserving temporal and causal consistency. By integrating log inference directly into the reasoning process, yRCAE enables sound failure explanations even under partial observability. The approach is implemented as a CLI prototype and evaluated through controlled experiments and interpretability of failure explanations.
