La tesi illustra la progettazione e lo sviluppo di InclusivaMente, una piattaforma web finalizzata a promuovere una didattica inclusiva e accessibile, per colmare il divario esistente tra il riconoscimento normativo dell’inclusione scolastica e la disponibilità concreta di strumenti e materiali didattici accessibili. A partire dall’analisi del quadro teorico e normativo di riferimento, con particolare attenzione alle Web Content Accessibility Guidelines e all’European Accessibility Act, viene descritto il percorso progettuale e applicativo che conduce alla realizzazione della piattaforma, sviluppata attraverso l’integrazione di un front-end React in ambiente WordPress. Come caso di studio è stata implementata l’unità didattica Transport and Travel, declinata in una pluralità di formati (es. PDF, video, attività interattive) e linguaggi (Braille, LIS, CAA), sottoponendo il tutto a verifiche di usabilità e accessibilità. Al termine del lavoro sono state create delle linee guida operative per supportare i docenti nella progettazione e nell’adattamento di materiali inclusivi, affinché la piattaforma possa diventare un archivio di contenuti didattici di vari formati e linguaggi.
This thesis outlines the design and development of InclusivaMente, a web platform that promotes inclusive and accessible teaching. The aim is to bridge the gap between regulatory recognition of school inclusion and the actual availability of accessible teaching tools and materials. Starting with an analysis of the theoretical and regulatory framework (in particular the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and the European Accessibility Act), the thesis goes on to describe the design and implementation process that led to the platform's creation. This was achieved by integrating a React front-end into a WordPress environment. The Transport and Travel teaching unit was implemented as a case study in a variety of formats (e.g. PDF, video, interactive activities) and languages (Braille, LIS, AAC) and was then subjected to usability and accessibility testing. At the end of the project, operational guidelines were created to support teachers in designing and adapting inclusive materials so that the platform can serve as an archive of educational content in various formats and languages.
