The present work contains the guidelines for analysing the termo-fluid dynamics of an oil-injected screw compressor trought CFD simulations. In the first part, a general overview of the operation of the machine and of the most interesting parameters are provided. These parameters have been defined by simulation results performed with the SCORGTM software; the description of the methodology used to obtain more complex analyses with Ansys CFX follows. It concludes with the vision of the results of the case study examined and with a numerical comparison between the two software used.
