Riassunto
This thesis explores the potential of data produced in library and archival environments for use in computer science, with a particular focus on their possible reuse for web research and the improvement of digital humanities projects such as scholarly editions. The first chapter covers the history of bibliographic cards and how they have been impacted by modern technologies. The second chapter discusses how the advent of electronic computers and the internet have made traditional bibliographic cards obsolete and the need for new tools such as digital libraries. The third chapter focuses on the creation and implementation of digital libraries, specifically discussing the use of semantic web technology. The fourth chapter examines the potential reuse of data produced in library and archival environments for web research, specifically discussing the application of the catalog of the COBIS project. The fifth chapter concludes the research, summarizing the main findings and highlighting the future potential of the area of study, including the possible implementation of the findings in other digital humanities projects.
