Riassunto
The purpose of this thesis work is the improvement of a CFD code implemented in the OPEN-
Foam library called MUSCLE-FOAM. This solver is owned by NRG and can calculate both
thermal-mechanics, thermal-hydraulics, and neutronics equations, with different approaches.
The final goal is to develop a further tool to evaluate the neutron density using a Point Ki-
netics Approach and verify those results by comparing them with a system thermal hydraulics
code that simulates the same environment. The thesis was carried out in the framework of a
Code-to-Code verification among different codes.
