Riassunto
This thesis treats some general techniques for the solution of Partial Differential Equations stemming from Non Standard Analysis and Numerical Analysis. In particular, existence theorems based on an infinitesimal formulation of the Method of Lines are given. The main examples treated in detail are the thermal conductivity equation in an anisotropic medium and the Burgers-Bateman equation from Fluid Dynamics. Moreover, some examples of ill-posed problems are analyzed in detail, the main example of which is the Burgers' equation with zero (or infinitesimal) viscosity.
