Riassunto
The objective of this thesis, developed at the request of an F1 Team, was to derive trade-off metrics between performance and stability to design, depending on the track, the differential control law and brake balance settings. The work focused on the development of a lapsim capable of providing numerical results to evaluate performance in synergy with stability techniques for the design of electromechanical system maps. The lapsim was developed using nonlinear control theory. The vehicle model employed is a double-track model with a Pacejka tire formulation based on a 4-coefficient approach.
