Riassunto
The objective of this work is to create a platform of scaffolds that are able to reproduce three-dimensional model of some sinonasal tumors. Specifically will be considered epithelial tissue, mucinous tissue and bone tissue. Using biocompatible, biodegradable polymers (i.e. PHBV) and natural polymers (i.e. Collagen and Chitosan) blends will be optimized to be electrospinned to create these fibrous scaffolds capable of mimicking the tissue of interest (epithelial and mucinous). The bone tumor is optimized through the use of 3D-bioprinter with PHB + 5wt% BaTiO3. After a detailed optimization of these blends to be electrospinned, the scaffolds have been realized and characterized through the appropriate analysis as SEM, FT-IR , control of fiber diameters, ecc. The second component of this project entails performing cell cultures on these newly produced tissues and comparing the tissue loaded with tumor cells to those loaded with healthy cells. Tumor cell lines that mimicked the tumor tissues under consideration were employed, and metabolic and morphological activities were examined using suitable biochemical assays.
