Riassunto
Acute diverticulitis is a common gastrointestinal condition that presents significant diagnostic and management challenges. Accurate and timely imaging plays a pivotal role in guiding clinical decisions and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. This thesis aims to explore the utility of various imaging modalities in diagnosing acute diverticulitis, assessing disease severity, and guiding treatment strategies.
Emphasis is placed on computed tomography (CT) as the gold standard, while also discussing the roles of ultrasound (US) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in specific clinical contexts. By correlating imaging findings with clinical and laboratory data, this work seeks to establish a comprehensive approach to the prompt and adequate management of acute diverticulitis
