To test the mediation indirect causal effect of vascular (renal resistive index, RRI) and morphological (renal volumes, RVs) characteristics on the relationship between traditional risk factors and the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) by formula in type 2 diabetic patients. We verified the hypotesis of causal effect of kidney ultrasonography characteristics on the eGFR by formula in subject with type 2 diabetes.
