Riassunto analitico
A different approach to the chemical vapor (or cold vapor) generation of cadmium was developed, in order to achieve better analytical performance while investigating possible interferences in generation efficiency. A quenched flow reactor (QFR) was employed for the synthesis, in a continuous flow system, of hydroxytrihydroborate(III), BH3OH- a more reactive borane complex compared to BH4- (THB). Conditions for the generation of Cd were optimized for THB to ensure a meaningful comparison between the reagents.
