We are aware of the importance of Smes in Italy and MYPES (Micro y pequeñas Empresas) in Peru, representing over 95% of the industrial economic fabric. In addition, we have seen the contribution they make to employment, based on the data compiled, and to the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of the country both for Italy and for Peru.
In specific, we examined the Peruvian productive fabric in the different key sectors (mining, manufacturing, agriculture, construction, commercial and services), their organizational structure and their main characteristics or problems related to a MYPES.
Finally, we analysed the governance of Smes and MYPES, with an eye to information and communication technologies (ICT) which encourage business innovation and can contribute so that small businesses can be competitive in the market.
