Summary
This thesis intends to present an anthology of poems written by Boris Ryžij, where the theme of death, Thanatos, is pivotal and is declined in different ways depending on the poem itself and on the images used. This dissertation is divided into three chapters: the first one focuses on the poet’s biography and on the outline of him as a man and a husband, thanks to a precious interview to Boris’ wife, the second one is dedicated to the poetic anthology with the corresponding translation and analysis and to the description of the lyrical style, and finally the third chapter deals with the poet’s inheritance in comparison to the contemporary literary panorama.
