Summary
This work of thesis introduces a quasi-steady-state laptime simulation of an extensive 4WD race car model. This is an improvement of the current 2WD model, based on the backward-forward, where is also introduced the mid-corner car behaviour.
To aim the goal has been necessary a bug detection that, at first, led to several problems on the basic 2WD model: the attention is focused on the rear and front limited-slip differential model to better reproduce the real car behaviour in rear-limited condition.
In the latest part is presented an alternative method to obtain the track curvature, input of the problem, and the altitude track profile.
