The cochlear implant (CI) is one of the major medical advances over the last fifty years. Despite the globally very satisfactory results, individual outcomes vary considerably. The aim of this study is to assess compliacation and outcomes of cochlear implantation in severe to profound deafned patients presenting far advanced otosclerosis (FAO) or very far advanced otosclerosis (VFAO) and compare the resuslts in literature.
