Summary
The purpose of this thesis is to verify with a FEM analysis a preliminary
design of the PrP250 wing structure, made up in aluminum and previously
optimized with a multistep process shortly presented in chapter 3. Moreover,
a composite design of the structure is here investigated, with a preliminary
sizing of the wing, a FEM analysis and the checking of upper skin panels
buckling is accomplished. The results in term of weight and stress distribu-
tion are then shown, and a comparison between the two solutions is made.
