Riassunto
On-board Charger (OBC) are an important device in Electric Vehicles (EVs) that allows the charge also through an alternate source of power. This allows to charge the vehicle not only on public electrical service stations but also in private or domestic source of power. However the recent emerging and development of smart grid induced new requirement for this device. As EVs can play an important role on redistribution of energy in the electrical network through its storage in its batteries, designs of OBC are required to allow bidirectionality of power flow, allowing an EV to be a power source as well. A bidirectional OBC has also an advantage of saving costs of further devices in the power train, as the OBC can be used also as a connection for the battery to other electrical devices of the vehicle for supply. In this thesis is analyzed how to design an OBC that meets the requirement of bidirectionality with a further simulation via software of the system realized.
