Riassunto (Italiano)
This is the translation into Italian of a novel Mon Étrange Plaisir of the French writer Rachilde.
In the novel, the writer, obsessed and influenced by her life experiences, describes a curious man who finds beauty and happiness only in dance.
This novel is different from the others by the strong aesthetic trend and by the fact that underlines the importance of Nature and Art in human being’s life.
Only Art is able to penetrate into the dark of the human soul and to explain human desires and dreams. To do this Rachilde uses figures of speech such as metaphors, synaesthesia, hyperbole, etc…
Important issues for the writer are the introspection and psychoanalysis of characters with uncommon sexual behaviours.
