Riguardo alle lesioni meniscali, la comunità scientifica si sta orientando alla preservazione, ove possibile, del menisco.
Da Novembre 2018 e Febbraio 2020 un totale di 21 pazienti sono stati trattati con sutura meniscale artroscopica con tecnica all-inside presso la AOUP.
I pazienti sono stati valutati con un follow up medio di 10 mesi (4-20) applicando i questionari Tegner-Lysholm Knee Scoring Scale e KOOS.
Secondo lo studio la tecnica utilizzata è sicura ed efficace: non si sono verificate ricadute e i punteggi ottenuti sono stati soddisfacenti, con una mediana del Tegner-Lysholm KSS e del KOOS rispettivamente di 88.00 e 92.90.
C’è un’associazione negativa tra età all’intervento e il Tegner-Lysholm KSS, influenzata negativamente dall’aumento dell’intervallo tra l’intervento ed il colloquio.
Non è risultata nel campione un’associazione tra il KOOS e l’età all’intervento.

Regarding meniscal tears, the scientific community is focusing on the preservation, where possible, of the meniscus.
From November 2018 and February 2020, a total of 21 patients were treated with arthroscopic meniscal suture with all-inside technique at the AOUP.
Patients were evaluated with a mean follow-up of 10 months (4-20) using the Tegner-Lysholm Knee Scoring Scale and KOOS questionnaires.
According to the study, the technique used is safe and effective: no relapses occurred and the scores obtained were satisfactory, with a median of Tegner-Lysholm KSS and KOOS of 88.00 and 92.90 respectively.
There is a negative association between age at surgery and the Tegner-Lysholm KSS, negatively influenced by the increase in the interval between surgery and the interview.
There was no association between the KOOS score and the age at surgery in the sample.
