Riassunto
This objective includes:

- The definition of the system architecture (hardware/software) starting from the human input devices up to the electric engine control including safety features based on Inertial Measurement Unit.
System Architecture verification will be based on a Matlab/Simunlink model.
- The system is based on COTS (Commercial Of The Shell) components and, in particular, the control unit is programmed in C++ language. Preliminary feasibility studies has identified as control unit an ESP-32 microcontroller which will be running on a real-time operating system.
- The system is integrated with a COTS wheel-chair mechanically adapted to host the designed control unit and the relevant human machine interface.
This work isperformed in the framework of IR Access in collaboration with "Comune di Capannori" and DIGIT.
