Riassunto
The goal of this thesis consists in the development of a digital twin of an integreted inverter and electric motor for an automotive powertrain.
A model is created using MATLAB/Simulink.
Initially, a system with an inverter and a lumped parameter motor model was implemented.
Various control techniques were then evaluated; the typical approach is to design the controllers using classical automatic control techniques (FOC:Field Oriented Control, and MPC:Model Predictive Control)
A motor model was then implemented using lookup table derived from the FEA model.
Finally, comparisons were made between the original system trends and those of the modified system and the various control techniques implemented, highlighting the strengths and motivations behind each change.
