Riassunto
This work was carried out as part of an internship with the German company Vitesco Technologies, which designs and develops electronic components for the world’s Automotive industry. In this particular period of ecological transition, with electric vehicles increasingly entering the car market, the company has set up a team of engineers with the aim of designing an axial flux permanent magnet motor.
In this framework, the purpose of the activity was to analyse the rotor of the electric motor from a structural point of view, under static and dynamic conditions, verifying the design choices and providing a basic methodology to be followed in the case of future projects.
The software used for finite element simulations is Ansys Workbench.
