Riassunto
La albina del dinero de Trifonia Melibea Obono es una novela que forma parte del marco de la ficción poscolonial. Una lectura analítica de la obra permite abrir numerosas ventanas sobre el panorama de la vida cotidiana de Guinea Ecuatorial, descubriendo rasgos típicos de su cultura. El estudio de La albina del dinero representa también una oportunidad fundamental para profundizar en el conocimiento de la variedad ecuatoguineana del español e investigar el singular contexto lingüístico en que se halla. Recorriendo las principales contribuciones académicas se demuestra que el español de Guinea Ecuatorial tiene características únicas y puede gozar del estatus de dialecto. A lo largo del comentario se analiza la función de la literatura según la perspectiva de la autora, demostrando que su concepción literaria conlleva una acción de denuncia social. La traducción se ha llevado a cabo conforme a esta perspectiva, individuando como dominante la conservación de los rasgos culturales destacados a lo largo del comentario como fundamentales para una profunda comprensión del texto, con el objetivo de preservar la fuerza de la denuncia de Obono. Las metodologías traductológicas adoptadas se basan en los criterios de la literatura científica sobre la traducción poscolonial, abrazando una filosofía de traducción source-oriented.
The novel La albina del dinero by Trifonia Melibea Obono forms part of the broader framework of postcolonial fiction. An analytical approach to the text opens up many windows on the ordinariness of Equatorial Guinea’s citizens, allowing to learn much about the otherness of its culture. Studying this novel represents a fundamental opportunity also to examine the Guinean variety of Spanish and investigate its peculiar linguistic context. Through the review of the principal academic researches, it is illustrated that the Spanish spoken in Equatorial Guinea has unique features, that allow to refer to it as a Spanish dialect. During the comment of the translation, the function of literature according to the author is assessed, proving that her literary concept entails social criticism. The translation, then, is conducted according to these idea, establishing as dominant of translation the maintenance of those cultural elements outlined as fundamental for the text comprehension during the analysis, aiming at the preservation of the strength of Obono’s social criticism. Translation methodologies, therefore, are adopted accordingly to the suggestions proposed by the scientific literature, embracing a source-oriented philosophy of translation.
