Riassunto (Italiano)
The study deals with the development of an energy-efficient torque-vectoring strategy for electric vehicles with four independently controlled motors. By imposing a feed-forward optimal yaw moment, the suggested wheel torques management allows not negligible power loss savings compared to equal torque distribution. The thesis focus on on-board and in-wheel motors vehicles with front axle drivetrains different from the rear ones. The performances of the novel energy-efficient torque distribution strategy are evaluated in simulated ramp steer and sinusoidal steer manoeuvres at different speeds, through an experimental validated Simulink vehicle model.
