Riassunto analitico
In the present thesis two different analysis have been carried out. In the first part a comparison between Immersed Boundary Method and Actuator Line Model has been performed in order to analyze the differences in the flow by using a real body and a virtual force, spreaded among several grid points, that mimic the presence of the body.
In the second part a Large Eddy Simulation has been carried out in order to reproduce the experiment performed at the University of Portland. In this simulation the Rotating Actuator Disk Model has employed to represent the presence of the rotor and its motion.
